Ms. Noe Camp

Among the new staff members at Harding High School is Ms. Noe Camp, who teaches Modern World and American History in room 114. Previously, Camp worked at a drop-out recovery school in Columbus as the only social studies teacher, where she didn’t even have a classroom to herself. So far, she says that Harding has been a much better experience. “[It’s] been very welcoming… and all my coworkers have been very helpful,” she remarks, adding that she is excited for the school year to come.

Teaching runs in Ms. Camp’s family, as her grandmother, father, and cousin were all educators who gave her a special connection to teaching growing up. When she was young, Camp would travel to Europe in the summer to visit her mother’s cousin in the Netherlands where she would attend school with her cousin’s children. Due to the school having a very small community, Camp was with the same teacher every year and began to bond with her. She got an early taste of what it was like to be an educator by assisting her in her job; Camp knew she wanted to be a teacher from a young age, and sought out to do so.
