Your Teacher Said What?!

In a previous issue of the Harding Herald, teachers were interviewed about the weird (and often very concerning) things they heard students say, but what about weird things that teachers said? Thanks to your submissions, there are plenty of good stories about the teachers' side.

Mrs. Smith once said, “Everyone makes mistakes” and while this does not initially sound weird, this was apparently said in a “Hannah Montana voice.” Whatever that means.

Another student cited a time a teacher ranted for a full class period about how someone cut her off when she was driving to work. (Mrs. Foreman)

One teacher baffled scientists by saying they were pregnant. They were male.

A student submitted an entry saying “we don’t talk about Bruno…” (help, I was forced to include this.)

Some teachers are very “vivid” with the images they use in class. One cited that “The spit in your instrument should look like an overflowing omelet.” I hope everyone had a nice breakfast.

Finally (and most concerning of all) a math teacher had to ask their class how to spell the word “grid.”
