The lunch and learns here at Harding are to expose the kids to the variety of careers in the field and opportunities in the career they want to go into. They can suggest a variety of the ideas of schooling and training needed to do the job they are interested in.
Throughout the rest of the year there will be more lunch and learns available for students. The school bases it on what the students are interested in like nursing in the Marion area.
The experience of the lunch and learns was a success based on the responses that students have made.For the nursing lunch and learn students have interest in the STNA job and the (PSA) which is a Patient Support Assistant which the hospital hires at 16. Many students have already applied and heard feedback from OhioHealth.
