The Real Conjuring House

The Conjuring house has sparked media attention over the past years as it has been claimed to be one of the most haunted houses in the world. The original house was built in 1736. There is no information about who built the house, but back in June of 2019, Cory and Jennifer Heinzen bought the house.

The two are both paranormal investigators, and right after they moved into the house, both of them started to report paranormal activity: “doors opening, knocking, and footsteps.”

No one used to be able to stay at the house, but since the Heinzens moved in, they are allowing people to visit and stay overnight to witness what happens in the house.

The spirit to haunt the house the most is named Bathsheba Sherman who is said to have lived in the house in the 1800's. Bathsheba and her husband Judson Sherman had three children who didn’t live over the age of seven. The people in the village made claims against Bathsheba saying she was a witch, but the claims were false. However, she is related to one who was burned in the Salem Witch Trials. Bathsheba was convicted of killing a couple of kids in the village when a child under Bathsheba’s care mysteriously died. Before Bathsheba died, she was said to curse the land so that whoever lived there next would die a terrible death.

The Perron family was the next family to move into the house in 1970, and they were the first family to report strange happenings around the house. The person who sold the house to the family never disclosed it was haunted or what happened in the house. The Perron family asked Ed and Lorraine Warren to investigate and see what is really going on in the house. Ed and Lorraine were the most known paranormal investigators in the world at this point in time. Lorraine had a strong connection with the paranormal; she was a medium, so she was able to connect with the spirits that resided in the house. Carolyn Perron was the main person who was attacked in the house. She was possessed by Bathsheba and was levitated when Ed Warren was trying to do an exorcism to save Carolyn from Bathsheba.

Ed and Lorraine were able to save Carolyn and the rest of the Perron family. Even though the Warrens saved Carolyn from Bathsheba, she still is in the house. A lot of paranormal investigators have been in that house and always come back with results of activity.
