Summer is right around the corner and I have nothing to do this summer in Marion here's a list of some of Harding students and staff favorite activities.
#1 on this list is going on Road trips and traveling. Some nice places to visit while in the summer in Ohio could be Put-In-Bay, a nice place to relax with friends or family. Somewhere outside of Ohio you could travel to this summer could be Tybee Island, Georgia because it is a historical place with a lot of history in it and beautiful beaches.
#2 on the list is Barbecues. Families get together for barbecues and for events throughout the summer. If you need help figuring out what kind of foods you should bring to a barbecue you can go read the “ Best Summer Foods ” article.
#3 on the list is going to the pool. Marion has the Lincoln Park pool that many families and friends go to in the summer. Some pools outside of Marion you can visit this summer are the Maryland Swimming Pool in Columbus, and Highlands Park Aquatic Center in Westerville.
#4 on the list is going to Amusement Parks. There are many fun amusement parks all over Ohio some good ones to go to this summer could be Cedar Point, Kings Island, and Coney Island park. Some amusement parks outside of Ohio you could go to this summer could be HersheyPark in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Universal Orlando Resort in Orlando Florida, and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay in Tampa Florida.
#5 on the list is Camping. There are many campgrounds in Ohio and around Marion a couple you and your family or friends can go to this summer could be Delaware State Park in Delaware Ohio, Old Man’s Cave in Logan Ohio, and Rippling Stream Campgrounds in Baltimore Ohio.
#6 on the list is Festivals. Many festivals go on throughout the summer all around the world, some festivals you and your family and friends could go to this summer all over are July Summer Music Festival at Ault Park in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 20th, Columbus Food Truck Festival in Columbus, Ohio on August 19th, and Edgewater Neighbor Festival in Cleveland, Ohio on June 25th.
#7 on the list is Sleepovers. Some ideas for this summer for sleepovers could be going in the backyard of your friend's house and sleeping on a trampoline, another idea can be doing a homemade movie theater in a backyard. You and your friends can set up a blanket on the wall of the house and get a projector and watch movies all night.
#8 on the list is Sporting events. There are a lot of sports that go on throughout the summer. Some upcoming games you could go see this summer could be Columbus Crew vs. Charlotte FC in Columbus, Ohio on June 3, Columbus Clippers game in Columbus, Ohio on June 28 at Huntington Park.
#9 on the list is Firework Shows. Some events to see firework shows over the summer include Lighting Up the Sky Independence Day Fireworks in Findlay, Ohio on July 3-4, another event is Star Spangled Spectacular in Lima, Ohio on July 4.
#10 on the list is Outdoor Concerts. Outdoor concerts are always going on throughout the summer and are fun to enjoy with friends on the weekends. Some outdoor concerts that are coming up for the summer include, PIXIES: North America ‘23 plus special guests Franz
