A pole was sent out to students and staff at Harding to determine the best ice cream place in Marion. A total of 186 people responded to the survey.
In first place winning by 16 votes, with 65 votes: The Jerzee. 34.9% of people voted for the Jerzee. Runner up was Freds with a total of 49 votes. 26.3% of the participants voted for Freds. Coming in third place with a total of 24 votes was Dairy Queen. 12.9% of votes were for Dairy Queen.
The Jerzee has been open since 1949. Some of their popular items include Cookie Dough and Oreo Clippers, as well as their Coney Dogs and Shredded Chicken Sandwiches.
Honorable mentions are Mega Moo, Topped, Sonic, McDonalds and Stewarts.
