Was Homecoming a bop or a flop this year? Well you might have noticed in your emails a Google form asking for your opinions on Homecoming this year, and thank you so much to the 88 people who responded. So why don’t we see what you all decided in the annual homecoming review?
First off is the music. 26.1%, or 23 people, ruled that the music was good, overruling any other option on the board.
A surprising amount of written responses about the music were negative, but some were still positive: “I think that there was a variety of music and that there were a lot of good songs to really dance to. And the idea with the song request on the tickets was a really good idea and I think it made everyone happy.” said one of the responses. And to all of those wondering, the DJ did play the songs that were requested on the tickets.
Next up is the snacks. 35.2%, or 31 people, decided that they were neutral on this matter. Seemingly most people did not go to the snack table.
Some people think it should have been more creative or free, which would only cut on school funding even more.
After that, we asked what people thought of the decorations. 35.2%, or 31 people, said the decorations were great. 29 more people said they were good.
“It was super cute and exotic. Loved the lights. It was super enchanting.” Said one of the responses.
Next was how people felt about the Game Room. 51.1%, or 45 people, said they were neutral on the matter.
It seems through the written response that not many people went to the Game Room, but the ones that did thought it was a great sensory room, people seem to just wish they had more decorations.
The next question we asked was how the photobooth was 44.3%, or 39 people, agreed once again that they were just neutral on the matter. “The photo quality was nice, but the phone number add-on was a bit too much, and didn't send to my phone. Also the timing was off, which confused me and multiple other students.”
Said one of the written responses. It seems many people never got their photos and wish we went back to the printing style we used in 2022.
Finally is the theme for homecoming. 26.1%, or 23 people, said the theme was great. Although the theme doesn’t seem to be for everyone, plenty of people loved the glowing decorations.
