Harding Highlights in 90 Seconds With Mrs. Bebout
Recently Mrs. Beout started doing short, 90 second announcements every morning during HQ. Her “Harding Highlights” recognize students, staff and other important things throughout the school and district.
When asked why she chose to start doing the announcements, Bebout said with the new technology[BenQ Boards] live announcements can no longer be made and while information is often sent out through email, many students are not adamant about frequently checking their emails and because of this Bebout said that “We wanted to do something to recognize our kids, because that’s why we’re here. It’s about the kids.”
The information she announces are sent in by teachers or found on an app called BNN, which coaches use to plug in scores and results of games/meets.
Often Bebout uses her xylophone to do some sort of jingle. As of right now there is no set jingle, but Bebout has done “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” and the Harding fight song.
