DoorDash What's so bad about it?

Students at Harding are getting in trouble for DoorDashing food for lunch.

Marion City Schools provides breakfast and lunch for free to all students.

In a interview with Mrs. Wellman about the DoorDash topic she had said“ Students are not permitted to DoorDash during school hours.”

Students may bring lunch from home, but delivery of food during lunch will be permitted and delivered at the optimum time. If a student has an after school activity that cause them to stay late then they are allowed to DoorDash and have food delivered to the school because it is after school hours so they won’t get in trouble.

Students use DoorDash when they don’t want the school lunch because it might not be good or they use it to get snacks for classes.

“Staff may order food during their lunch period or depart to purchase lunch” from Mrs. Wellman.

The school operates under a closed lunch period arrangement, meaning students are not permitted to leave for lunch and then return to school. Students are expected to eat in the lunchroom during their assigned lunch period, which means students are not allowed to leave the lunch room without a pass from a teacher or administrator.

Most students who try to use DoorDash have to go get their food in the front of the school but when they try to come back in they can get yelled at because you cannot bring outside food or drinks.

DoorDashing became popular in 2018 after it exceeded uber eats and soon a lot of people used doordash more than uber eats when they wanted to stay in instead of going out to eat. DoorDashing is equally rewarding because when people order food anyone who works with DoorDash gets paid when they deliver food and whoever ordered the food gets food so DoorDashing is a win- win situation.
